Big Meadow - led by Sarah Malaby

Big Meadow, sponsored by the Klamath Basin Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon is open to everyone. 

Supplies: It is recommended that you wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get wet. Bring sun screen and/or a hat, and be prepared for mosquitoes. You may also want to bring water and lunch or snacks on the trip.

Meeting Place: Meet at the junction of Hwy 140 west and Forest Road 3651.

Directions: From Klamath Falls take Hwy 140 west, turn right (north) at the sign for the Cold Springs Trailhead (approx 3.5 miles past the turn off to Rocky Point).  From there we will car pool to the meadow with stops along the way.

What to Expect: The Big Meadow area provides habitat for 4 species of rare plants and an abundance of native shrubs and wildflowers  

Physical Requirements: Easy to moderate walking.
