Learn about native plant communities in the Klamath Basin and help beautify the Oregon Tech Native Garden with volunteer faculty and students from Oregon Tech Natural Sciences Department.
This event provides an opportunity to learn about native gardens, xeriscapes, dangers of alien plants, and benefits of native plants and pollinators. Activities will include clearing the trail system of weeds and planting some new native plants in the wetland unit of the Native Garden. Tools will be provided.
Oregon Tech’s Native Garden is located at the northwest corner of campus near Cornett Hall; the prominent hill at that end of campus is the Native Garden. Bring gloves and water, if possible.
